Sociological view of media: Sociology is the tool/ lens to help us understand the world. We are immersed in institutions ( family/education/civil service / media) and we draw our values from here. Individual Human Agency - takeing their values from an institution you learn how to behave within a structure ie media been the most powerful institution.
The world is the way it it because men made it that way - not because God made it that way.
We use media to inform our sense of self: how we understand the world: our sense of place: what we think is important.
